Frequently Asked Questions + Pre / Post Care Instructions

  • Before Your Appointment

    • Discontinue any exfoliants 7 days prior to your appointment. This includes retinoid products, enzymes, glycolic and salicylic acid, and Ultrasonic brushes.
    • Avoid direct sun exposure, waxing, and NSAIDS at least 1 week prior to treatment.
    • Reschedule your appointment if you have any open lesions or active acne.
    • Wait at least 6 months after completing Accutane to have Microdermabrasion.
  • After Care Instructions

    • Avoid anything that raises your body temperature, such as saunas, steam rooms and exercise for 24 hours.
    • Do not pick your skin.
    • Avoid direct sunlight and apply sunscreen every 4 hours when outdoors.
    • Do not use products with glycolic acid, retinol, benzoyl peroxide, or any topical acne treatments for 24-48 hours.
    • Stay hydrated.
